The second fight between Bektemir Melikuziev and Gabe Rosado, which will take place next Saturday, April 22 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, will have the World Boxing Association (WBA) Inter-Continental super middleweight belt at stake.
The Uzbek and the Puerto Rican descent have unfinished business and that is why their fight is one of the most interesting in the undercard of Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia fight.
Rosado took away Melikuziev’s unbeaten record in June 2021. Although he was not the favorite in that bout, the veteran came out to the ring as he always does, with an aggressive style and giving war to his opponents. In the third round he connected with a punch to the face that sent Melikuziev to the canvas dramatically to give him one of the best knockouts of that year.
The Uzbek has worked hard to recover from that defeat and since then he has won four fights in a row, all by knockout, so he feels ready to face Rosado again and will try to turn the tables. In addition, he will have the opportunity to keep the regional black and gold belt, which adds motivation to the victory.
Melikuziev comes in with a record of 11 wins, 1 loss and 9 knockouts, while Rosado has 26 wins, 16 losses, 1 draw and 15 knockouts.
