Rossel states that the champion is “constantly attacking, takes the initiative in the fight. Although he has a good punching in the lower area, he throws punches very open, so I will make him fail and will hurt him with middle punches!.
He pointed out that fighting in his ground favors him and said he is ready and that he trained with Rodriguez’s videos. “We worked on his strengths and weaknesses”. Rodriguez is a boxer that is constantly punching and has very good physical conditions, and I will elude him.
On his behalf, Rodríguez only said in his statements to the Aztecs press: “We are ready to finish Rossel. We will not give him a chance to react. I will attack him again and again to break him physical and mentally.”
Rodríguez won the interim belt last November in Mazatlan, when he defeated Nethra Sasiprapa by Split Decision.

Este sábado 14 de abril, se realizará en Lima la batalla por el título mundial interino minimosca, entre el monarca José Rodríguez y el retador Alberto Rossel.
Esta sería la primera defensa del mexicano “Torito” Rodríguez, quien tiene marca impecable en 28 salidas, 17 de ellas ganadas por nocaut, mientras que su rival “Chiquito” Rossel presenta una hoja de servicio de 27 triunfos, 13 por la vía del sueño, con 8 caídas.
Ambos ya están cerrando su preparación, y listos para la refriega que se realizará en el Coliseo Dibós de Lima. Además, los peleadores se han enfrascado en una disputa verbal, donde el retador se ha atrevido a afirmar que consiguió el punto débil del campeón y que conquistará el campeonato porque está listo para hacer historia.
Rossel asegura que el monarca es “constante, siempre va al ataque, busca la iniciativa de la pelea. Si bien es cierto que tiene un buen golpeo a la zona baja también tira muy abierto, así que lo haré fallar y dañarlo con golpes por en medio de él,” detalló a la prensa Inca.
Igualmente resaltó que la condición de pelear en su patio le favorece, y de su preparación dijo que está listo porque trabajó en base a vídeos de Rodríguez, “trabajamos en sus fortalezas y debilidades en cuanto a su defensa. Rodríguez es un boxeador que golpea constantemente, de muy buena condición física, y habrá que contrarrestarlo eludiéndolo mucho”.
Por su parte, Rodríguez se limitó a responder, por medio de sus declaraciones a la prensa azteca: “Estamos listos para acabar con Rossel. No le daremos oportunidad ni de reaccionar. Lo atacaré una y otra vez sin darle tregua hasta quebrarlo física y mentalmente”.
Rodríguez consiguió hacerse dueño del fajín interino el pasado 19 de noviembre, en Mazatlán, cuando superó por decisión dividida a Nethra Sasiprapa.
