Jennifer Miranda retained her World Boxing Association (WBA) Intercontinental featherweight crown with a wide unanimous decision over Panama’s Sayda Mosquera on Monday at the Lope De Vega Theater in Madrid, Spain.
The home fighter shined in the main event to dominate the former Panamanian world challenger with scores of 99-91, 99-91 and 97-93 in an excellent night of boxing in the Spanish capital.
Miranda’s dominance was evident from start to finish and she gave a nice show to her audience during 10 thrilling rounds. It was the first defense for the 35-year-old fighter, who maintains her undefeated record.
She now has 7 wins, no losses and 1 knockout. Mosquera dropped to 9 wins, 4 losses and 1 draw.
