Jamie Mitchell will defend her World Boxing Association (WBA) bantamweight crown on November 26 against Nina Hughes at the Hilton Palm Juneirah in Dubai.

The American champion will make her second defense of the crown against the British in an evening that promises a lot of excitement due to the talent present and the good fights that there are.

Mitchell will be making the second defense of her 118-pound world championship and aims to retain it once again. The Los Angeles native shocked Shannon Courtenay and took the belt from her as a visitor in Liverpool on October 9, 2021. She returned to the ring in February for her first defense against Carly Skelly, whom she defeated by unanimous decision.

Nina Hughes is a feisty fighter who has little to lose and is undefeated in her career. The Brit wants to surprise the champion and take the crown but it won’t be easy for the challenger.

Mitchell comes into the fight with 8 wins, no losses and 2 draws, plus 5 knockouts. Hughes has 4 wins, no losses and 2 knockouts.
