Cuban David Morrell and Serbian Radivoje Kalajdzic will fight for the World Boxing Association (WBA) light heavyweight belt this Saturday at the Riyadh Season event at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.
Morrell will move up a weight class after being champion at super middleweight and will contest the belt against Kaladjzic at a weight where Dmitry Bivol is the super champion and waits for his fight against Artur Beterbiev.
The 26-year-old southpaw fighter is one of the most talented young boxers in the world and will now have an interesting challenge in a big event, where he intends to look good and continue to show himself to the world.
Kalajdzic is settled in the division and has five wins in a row, the four most recent in that streak have been by knockout. The Serbian trains in the United States and has made his entire career there, which is a plus for him.
Morrell is undefeated in 10 fights, with 9 knockouts, while Kalajdzic has 29 wins, 2 setbacks and 21 knockouts.
