Jaime Munguia gave a devastating demonstration in Tijuana and defeated D’mitrius Ballard by technical knockout in the third round this Saturday night.
The Mexican was coming into an important fight for him because he had promised the public to show a change from the technical point of view due to his work with his trainer Erik Morales. In front of his public, the middleweight fighter made a great fight and continues firm in his purpose of being world champion.
His work with power combinations wreaked havoc on Ballard from the beginning and he knew how to carry the fight very well until the third round when he sent him to the canvas. Although the American got back to his feet, the Mexican jumped on him and the third man in the ring had to stop the action.
Munguia is still undefeated after 39 fights, of which he has won 31 by knockout. Ballard, meanwhile, suffered his first professional loss while he has won 21 fights, drawn one and has 13 knockouts.
