In a colorful city where the carnivals are one of the most striking in the region, the FEDELATIN mini flyweight belt of the World Boxing Association will be disputed by Leandro “Musculito” Blanc (4-0,3kos) and Junior the “Demon” Zarate (14-3-0,5kos) this Saturday, September 25 in the Vertiente de la Concordia Thermal Complex, in the province of Entre Rios, Argentina.
These two boxers have an extensive career as elite amateurs. For years they have been teammates of the national team and have faced each other in several sparring sessions in preparation for various international competitions.
Leandro Blanc participated in Rio 2016 Olympic Games and then continued as part of the national team until 2019, being part of the Condors team in the World Series Boxing. In 2019 he decided to turn professional. The following year he managed to conquer the South American miniminweight belt.
For his part, Junior Zarate, with more than 100 bouts with the Argentine flag, also participated in the WSB for AIBA and competed in several world championships, among other competitions. By March 2016 he moved to professional boxing and has featured great evenings.
This Friday afternoon they complied successfully with the scales: Blanc weighed 48.700 kg while Zarate weighed 48.100kg. Both fighters will meet again on the ring for the FEDELATIN title of the pioneer organization.
