The World Boxing Association (WBA) has made many decisions, through its Championships Committee, aimed at advancing the World Title Reduction Plan introduced by President Gilberto Jesus Mendoza. In that sense, the Thai Thammanoon Niyomtrong and the Dominican Erick Rosa, will fight this March 1st in Nakhon Sawan, Thailand.
The mandatory fight was sent to purse bid last December and Niyomtrong’s team won the rights to organize the fight. The Asian is the super champion of the minimum category and will face the champion, who is from the Dominican Republic. The winner will be the only WBA 105 lbs. champion.
These are two strong fighters with a good style. Niyomtrong has a long reign in which he has defeated all the opponents that have appeared in his path and has proven to be one of the most solid monarchs within the organization.
Rosa, on the other hand, is a very young fighter who has advanced very fast. A southpaw guard, he knows how to adapt to any fight situation and arrives with a lot of motivation and with the intention of damaging the home fighter’s party.
With about 15 days left for the fight, the atmosphere is already heating up between these undefeated dls. Niyomtrong has 24 wins, 9 by knockout, while Rosa has 5 wins, 1 of them before the limit.
