WBA new allies

The World Boxing Association (WBA) has added several new allies for 2018: The International Sports Journalists Association (AIPS for its acronym in Italian), the University of Antioquia, (Universidad de Antioquia, UdeA), the city of Medellín Mayor´s office and the Government of the Antioquia Department are now part of our family.

The AIPS is the most important association in sports journalism and with them we will further the professionalization of those in charge of delivering the information regarding boxing, thus improving the reach of the coverage of our events,

Meanwhile, the approach to the UdeA is vital to implement new projects in the professionalization of boxing that the WBA pursues. The first encounter took place during our recent 96th Convention in Medellin, Colombia and now we look forward to working with them in the courses for Certification by Experience.

In addition, the city of Medellin Mayor´s office and the Antioquia Government , entities which also supported us during the 96th Convention are expected to join in our efforts in 2018. The goal is to develop boxing in the region and help young athletes to have a better future.

Also, in 2018 we hope to reach accords with Grupo Internacional de Paz and Fundación ADA, two institutions that operate worldwide and their main purpose is to develop boxing as a fundamental tool for peace.
