The young American prospect, Anthony Olascuaga will be the opponent of the Japanese Kenshiro Teraji next April 8 at the Ariake Arena, in Koto Ku, Japan.
Originally, the World Boxing Association (WBA) and WBC champion would face Jonathan Gonzalez, WBO belt holder. However, an illness suffered by Gonzalez forced him to withdraw from the fight.
After a few days of negotiation, Kenshiro was qualified to fight in an optional defense and the name of Olascuaga, Fedelatin flyweight champion and number 2 ranked in that division, who will drop in weight to take on this challenge.
Olascuaga is a native of Los Angeles and is undefeated in his career. Known as “Princesita”, he is 24 years old and has fought his way to regional champion in just a few fights.
Teraji is the opponent to beat in the division and comes into this defense with a record of 20 wins, 1 loss and 12 knockouts, while Olascuaga has 5 wins, 3 of them by knockout.
