The XXIX KO Drugs held at the Santo Domingo Sheraton Hotel in Dominican Republic, was a success and Colombian Darleys Pérez and Dominican Dahiana Santana win the World Boxing Association Interim titles.
Pérez won the WBA lightweight interim title, after a hard battle against the host Argenis “Caballo” Lopez, who made resistance all the time, but was dominated in the ring by the Colombian.
The judges used the half point scored Nelson Vasquez 117 ½ 111, Francisco Martinez 116 ½ 112, Stanley Christodoulou 117 ½ 111, for Pérez.
