Boxing superstar Floyd “Money” Mayweather spoke to reporters Tuesday outside the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas. Floyd remained low key, as he has been this entire promotion. He then went into the gym and worked out for the press.
[On Pacquiao] “He’s a very, very reckless fighter…I could have had the same type of career but my career wouldn’t have lasted this long.”
[On training camp] “It’s been a smooth, exciting camp. I’m happy. Some of the past camps haven’t been so smooth. But I’ve been very pleased with this camp.
[On the fight] “I don’t think this fight was as big five or six years ago. Me, I was still getting bigger and bigger. The names are much bigger now than they were before. We’re both bigger names now than we were five, six years ago. We’re meeting at the pinnacle of our careers. The time is right.”
[On what’s next] “I don’t enjoy it like I once did. My last fight is in September.”
