Prospect Hopey Price passed his test against veteran Thomas Masson on Saturday in Newcastle to claim the World Boxing Association (WBA) continental super bantamweight belt after a wide unanimous decision.
The judges gave scorecards of 100-90, 99-91 and 98-92, all in favor of the winner, who dominated the show from start to finish and showed his superiority throughout the fight.
Price is a lanky 23-year-old young man who knows how to use his distance and keep his opponents at bay. This Saturday was no exception as he knew how to use his jab, combine with long punches and use his defense well to get a comfortable victory.
The southpaw reached 10 wins in his professional career while he is undefeated and has knocked out 3 opponents. For the underdog, his record now stands at 20 wins, 6 setbacks, 1 draw and 7 KOs.
