Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez and Dominic Boesel will meet next Saturday in a World Boxing Association (WBA) light heavyweight eliminator at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California.
The Mexican and the German will star in the main event organized by Golden Boy, which will feature good fights in its program.
Ramirez has the clear objective of becoming world champion again after having reigned at super middleweight. This is his fifth fight in the 175-pound division and he has shown he has everything to earn the opportunity, but first he must beat the European.
Boesel is also looking for another world title shot after being stunned by Robin Krasniqi in 2020 during a fight for the interim belt in the division. He has now been bouncing back and actually beat Krasniqi in a rematch in their last fight.
Both will be in various promotional activities this week and will step on the scales on Friday. Ramirez is undefeated in 43 fights, with 29 knockouts, while Boesel has 32 wins, 2 losses and 12 knockouts.
