Undefeated Nicaraguan Santos Reyes and Bryan Jimenez will face each other next Saturday for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Fedecentro super lightweight title at the Nuevo Gimnasio Nicarao, in Managua, Nicaragua.
It will be an important fight for both fighters, who are looking for international projection and know that a victory will put them in a good position to achieve their immediate goals.
Reyes arrives with good activity since he has made two fights in 2022 and in both he has won by unanimous eight round decision. Nicknamed “Starboy,” he is on a hot streak and is well adjusted to the 140-pound class, where he has fought his last three fights.
Jimenez is a respectable puncher and has knocked out two of his last four opponents. He is a southpaw and is coming off a unanimous decision win over Israel Lopez on May 21.
Reyes has 10 wins, with 2 knockouts, while Jimenez has 9 wins, 6 of them before the limit.
