The World Boxing Association (WBA) super bantamweight champion, the Venezuelan Mayerlin Rivas, is in full preparation for her championship defense, which could take place next June 10 in Mexico City.
La “Monita”, as the South American is nicknamed, begins a new stage in her career with Matchroom Boxing and her first stop will be in Mexico against an opponent to be announced soon.
Rivas is currently in the city of Barranquilla, Colombia, where she has intensified her preparation and is training under the heat of the region in order to get in the best shape for her next challenge.
