American Lamont Roach Jr. and Venezuelan Angel Rodriguez will face each other this Saturday in a World Boxing Association (WBA) super featherweight eliminator fight at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

The fight will be the co-feature of the event that will take place at the Lakers arena and will feature Ryan Garcia facing Javier Fortuna in the main event.

Roach Jr. is looking for a victory that will bring him closer to a world title shot. The Washington native is on a three-fight winning streak, most recently defeating former world champion Rene Alvarado by unanimous decision.

Rodriguez is coming off a big split decision win over Mark Urvanov that gave him this opportunity to return to the United States to fight. The Sucre, Venezuela, native is an experienced stylist with a good amateur career who intends to continue to climb the ladder to his world opportunity. 

Roach Jr. has 21 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw and 9 knockouts. Rodriguez has 20 wins, 1 loss and 10 knockouts.
