Dominican Erick Rosa and Peruvian Ricardo Astuvilca will fight for the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) Interim Minimumweight belt on Wednesday night in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The young Dominican nicknamed “Minipacman” is 21 years old. He will be fighting for the title in only his fourth fight but has had an intense career in which he has already fought for different regional titles of multiple organizations.
Rosa has assured that he wants to make history and is willing to challenge the great contenders of the 105 lbs. in the short term, as he feels he is ready to take on big challenges.
But now he will have an important one in Astuvilca, a very experienced and undefeated opponent. He has already been Gold champion of the pioneer organization and at 32 years old he is ready to fight for the interim belt and try to ruin the night for the local fighter.
The fight will take place in the event organized by Shuan Boxing, which will also have WBA Interim Super Lightweight Champion Alberto Puello facing Jesus Rubio.
Rosa has 3 wins, 1 by KO, and Astuvilca has 21 wins, 6 by KO.
