Jeison Rosario and Jermell Charlo will step into the ring this Saturday at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut, to fight for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Super Welterweight Super Championship.
The unification bout will be one of the main fights of the event organized by Premier Boxing Champions and will put two of the best 154-pound fighters in the world face to face.
Rosario is the Super Champion of the pioneer organization and will make the first defense of the title he won in January this year after defeating Julian Willimas. The Dominican boxer surprised the world with a great performance and is now one of the most fearsome fighters in the division.
As for Charlo, he is in a process of recovery after a defeat in 2018 against Tony Harrison. He has won two fights in a row, including a rematch against Harrison and now wants to unify three belts in the division by winning against Rosario.
This week there will be several press conferences as well as promotional activities, including the weigh-in ceremony next Friday.
Rosario has a record of 20 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw and 14 KOs, while Charlo has a record of 33 wins, 1 defeat and 17 wins before the limit.
