Argentina will host the World Boxing Association (WBA) gold light flyweight title fight between local fighter Andrea Soledad Sanchez and Venezuelan Erika Bolivar on February 1.
The Arena Villa Carlos Paz, in Córdoba, will be dressed up for the title fight of the pioneer organization, which will be a 10-round bout at 108 pounds.
Sanchez is 35 years old and has been a professional since 2015. He has fought for the world title and for several regional belts although unsuccessfully. She has gone through highs and lows in her career and has had several breaks, but now she is on a two-fight winning streak and will have the most important fight for her in recent years.
She will face Bolivar, a 23 year old who has fought good level fights and always shows herself as a warrior in the ring. She is coming off a win over Naryelis Perez in December and will use her youth to try to get a win on the road.
Sanchez comes into the fight with a record of 10 wins, 4 losses, 1 draw and 2 knockouts. Bolivar has a record of 7 wins, 3 losses, 1 draw and 5 defeats by stoppage.
