American Kenneth Sims Jr. defeated Botirzhon Akhmedov by majority decision last Saturday in their World Boxing Association (WBA) super lightweight eliminator bout, which took place in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The fight was one of the most entertaining of the night as it was full of action and both fighters showed great will but in the end the scorecards went to the American 116-112, 115-113 and 114-114.
Each of the fighters had their moment and the fight was defined by little things. However, they left a great show for the public in a fight that had good punches, moments of drama and gave a lot of emotion to those present at the venue.
With the win, Sims Jr. improved his record to 20 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw and 7 knockouts, while the Ukrainian now has 9 wins, 3 losses and 8 knockouts.
