Michel Soro and John Vera have the common goal of getting a chance to fight for a fight world title. Both will have the opportunity this Saturday in Marseille, where they will step in the ring in a World Boxing Association (WBA) Super Welterweight Elimination Bout.
Both Soro and Vera completed the weigh-in ceremony, last step before their fight scheduled at 154 pounds. The first, native of Ivory Coast and of French nationality, weighed in at 153.5 pounds; meanwhile, the American weighed 152.6, which allows them to fight for the crown.
Soro has a record of 31 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw and 21 knockouts. For his part, Vera has 18 wins, no defeats and 11 knockouts.
