Akzhol Sulaimanbek and Mark Urvanov will dispute the World Boxing Association (WBA) Super Feather Gold title on Saturday. The bout will take place at the RCC Boxing Academy facilities in Ekaterinburg, Russia and will be a great showdown between two rivals looking to reach the top of boxing.
Sulaimanbek, born in Kyrgyzstan and now living in Russia, comes with the endorsement of being WBA Asia Champion, title that he defended four times before getting this chance for the Gold championship, which would put him close to a World Championship opportunity.
On the other side is Urvanov, a Russian, who in the past fought for the continental title but did not succeed. However, several victories in a row and winning other organizations regional titles put him ahead of the game with this opportunity, which he will not waste.
The official weighing will take place on Friday, where both must mark the 130 pounds in order to be qualified for Saturday.
Sulaimanbek is undefeated in 15 bouts, eight of them by the fast track. While, Urvanov has a record of 17 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw and 9 knockouts.
