The Japanese Takashi Uchiyama made the seventh successful defense of his WBA super featherweight title defeating the Venezuelan Jaider Parra by knockout, and by regulations, he will receive the super belt for 5 defenses.
According to the regulations, in its letter C – Championships, in its number 2, says: Belts. Similarly the Association will grant Super Belts to those champions that make 5 or 10 (if it was the case) successful defenses of his title. These Super Belts will be named after those champions that have been able to defend their title 5 or 10 times.
The Super Belt for the Super featherweight division is named after Gabriel “Flash” Elorde who made 5 successful defenses of his belt. He won the title in 1963 and reigned until 1967.
The Japanese Uchiyama improved his record to 20 victories without any loses. He won the title on January 11, 2010 when he defeated the Mexican Juan Carlos Salgado. Ever since, Uchiyama has stringed seven victories in a row.
The second victim was Angel Granados, on May 17, 2010, who fell in the sixth round. Then came the turn for Roy Mukhils, who fell in the fifth round on September 20 that same year.
In 2011 En 2011 defeated Jorge Solís, on December 31. Uchiyama won by TKO in 11, and one year later, on December 31, 2012 he defeated Bryan Vásquez by TKO in 8.
Today he anihilated his seven challenger, the Venezuelan Parra.

El japonés Takashi Uchiyama consiguió salir airoso de su séptima defensa del título de las 130 libras de la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo, al vencer al venezolano Jaider Parra por nocaut, y por reglamento, recibirá la súper faja de la división.
Según la normativa de campeonatos mundiales, en el literal C, dedicado a los títulos, en el numeral 2 dice que: La Asociación otorgará cinturones de Súper Faja a todos los campeones que consigan entre 5 a 10 defensas positivas de sus títulos. Ese cinturón llevará el nombre de los campeones que han logrado defender exitosamente entre cinco a diez veces.
En este caso, en la categoría súper pluma, el cinturón lleva el nombre de Gabriel “Flash” Elorde quien retuvo en cinco ocasiones su título de monarca universal de la división. El filipino Elorde ganó el título en 1963 y reinó hasta 1967.
El japonés Uchiyama puso su registro personal, en 20 triunfos sin conocer la derrota.
El título regular lo conquistó el 11 de enero de 2010, cuando noqueó en el round 12 al mexicano Juan Carlos Salgado. Desde entonces Uchiyama ha hilvanado una seguidilla de siete triunfos.
La segunda víctima fue Ángel Granados, el 17 de mayo de 2010. Cayó en el sexto asalto. Luego vino Roy Mukhils, quien sucumbió en el quinto episodio del pleito del 20 de septiembre de ese mismo año.
En 2011 se impuso a Jorge Solís, el 31 de diciembre. Uchiyama ganó por KOT en el 11, y el 31 de diciembre, pero de 2012, volvió a ganar por nocaut técnico pero en el octavo round, ante el entonces interino Bryan Vásquez.
Hoy liquidó a su séptimo retador, el venezolano Parra.
Además, Uchiyama empató con Michael Farenas en 2012.
