Teofimo Lopez is getting ready to fight again on August 13. It will be the first fight since his defeat against George Kambosos in November last year and he intends to embark on a new stage of success.
He will face Mexican Pedro Campa, in Las Vegas, with the novelty that he will move up to super lightweight to start the road to a new world title.
The American of Honduran descent is 24 years old and one of the most impressive young fighters in the world. In October 2020, he defeated Vasyl Lomachenko to remain as lightweight champion and become one of the best pound-for-pound fighters of the moment.
However, he was unable to defend the title and fell in a close fight to Kambosos in his following fight. After the setback, Lopez has been working hard, adapting to a new class and now feels ready to return.
The boxing world will be interested to see Teofimo in this new stage and see what he is capable of in a division as interesting as the 140-pound division.
