The “Tornado” Sanchez made possible what seemed impossible: knock out “Topo” Rosas. The good combinations up and down made effect on the challenger to the WBA 115 interim title, who on the seventh round looked tired, throwing powerless blows.
Sanchez withstood the pressure of “Topo” who never stopped moving forward. However, although the short distance was ideal for Rosas, “The Tornado” took the best part of them.
From the seventh round on Juan Alberto conditions declined. The man kept going forward, but his punches evidenced fatigue, the defending champion’s hooks exploded in the face of his opponent without contemplation. “El Topo” had no weapons, only pushed to avoid giving up.
On his part, the referee Manuel Rodríguez Soler, he could have stopped the fight in the tenth round, when Sanchez overwhelmingly attacked Rosas in the corner, forced his corner to throw the towel. Before Soler intervene to separate the gladiators his coach was already running to stop the beating his pupil was getting.
Now the owner of the WBA interim 115 lbs. belt has a clear goal: fight Kohei Kono for the absolute title of the division.
