One of the objectives of the World Boxing Association (WBA) is the creation of the WBA Academy, a project whose purpose is the systematic development of boxing. The Global Forum being held in Yekaterinburg, Russia, was a perfect framework to present all that has been advanced in relation to this ambitious plan and the attendees could learn all the details in the voice of Jorge Ramírez, the general director of the same.

With the presence of a large number of the public and in the official closing of the forum, Ramírez presented what will undoubtedly give a plus to this sport and will help many of those involved. The World Boxing Academy is the official institution and scientific-technical education of the AMB that aims to train, train and constantly update all those who are part of world boxing.

The WBA Academy has as academic and scientific support the Center for Research, Physical Education, Health, Sport and Dance (Edufisadred), attached to the Experimental Pedagogical University Liberator, of Venezuela.

Ramírez stressed that the reason for its creation will be the training and updating of judges, referees, coaches, promoters, managers, boxers and even doctors, through different online and face-to-face courses that will be dictated constantly.

The idea is also to give academic support to all those coaches that were formed on their own and to recognize the achievements they have had today in world boxing.

The WBA Academy is a priority for the president of the WBA, Gilberto Jesus Mendoza, and is taking more and more form. Those who could know the details of the projects were very pleased and supported its creation for the good of the activity around the world.
