The World Boxing Association (WBA) played a leading role in the Global Forum that took place last week in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Most of the leaders and personalities of pugilism in the world met in Eastern Europe to discuss important points related to the current situation and the WBA highlighted thanks to all their projects and shared ideas.
The delegation was led by the president of the organization, Gilberto Jesus Mendoza, whose flag during all the days was that the work for boxing over the business. He especially highlighted the conference in which he shared with Francisco Valcárcel, Umar Kremlev and Stephan Fox. Mendoza presented all the plans of the WBA for the rescue of the discipline and gave his opinion on various topics of boxing in the world.
In addition to talking about the plan “The Return of Boxing”, the president of the WBA gave the first details of the WBA Academy as a prelude to the official presentation of the project at the close of the forum, which was in charge of Jorge Ramírez.
On the last day of activity, Ramírez explained in depth the idea that Mendoza had already emerged. The WBA Academy is endorsed by educational and sports organizations of international stature and seeks the training and updating of all personnel involved in this sport in order to achieve the systematic development of it.
The WBA also relied on its qualified staff to deliver various seminars, which were full of people interested in receiving high level knowledge. He highlighted the seminar of judges and arbitrators and the exhibition made by the entity in terms of health and medical news.
The Global Forum served to publicize several of the projects and ideas that the AMB is ready to undertake in favor of boxing. The oldest organism in the world has the mission to be the architect of the rescue of boxing and this was made clear during all his interventions in different areas during the conferences.
The Yekaterinburg event was preceded by an important visit by Gilberto Jesús Mendoza to Mexico, where he accompanied the first heavyweight world champion of that country, Andy Ruiz, and also met with the President of the Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who gave a WBA belt with his silhouette.
