The President, the Executive Committee, and all the World Boxing Association family regret the death of Salvadoran boxer Francisco Ruiz.

Ruiz disputed, on November 18, the Salvadoran Association of Professional Boxing national title of El Salvador and was knocked out in the eighth round, a fact that forced the body of doctors into action.

The WBA wishes to extend to his family and friends our most sincere sympathy in these difficult times.

May he Rest in Peace!
