Americans Keith Thurman (27-0, 22KO) and Danny Garcia (33-0, 19 KOs) hit the scales at 146.2 and 146.5 pounds respectively. Thus, they are ready to fight this Saturday for the World Boxing Association Welterweight Super Championship.
However, the momentum of the weigh-in was the expected face-to-face, in which both boxers exchanged words and had to be separated.
Now, everything is set for them to make clear, this March 4th at the Barclays Center in New York, who the best Welterweight at the moment is.
Officials for the fight
The Officials Committee of the World Boxing Association named the Panamanian Aurelio Fiengo as supervisor for this bout, while the New York Commission appointed the Canadian Mike Griffin as referee and Americans John McKaie, Kevin Morgan and Joe Pasquale as judges.
