Thailand’s Yuttapong Tongdee will defend his WBA Asia bantamweight title for the third time on Saturday, June 1 against Frenchman Giuliano Fantone at the Spaceplus Bangkok RCA in Bangkok, Thailand.
Tongdee goes undefeated into his 15th fight, looking to crown his 10th win by KO. Last March he dispatched fellow Thai Thanachai Khamoon in three rounds by technical knockout. He has been a busy boxer since his debut in July 2020. Tongdee won the WBA Asian title in August 2022. Saturday’s bout will be his first against a foreign opponent.
That role will be filled by the Welshman Fantone, who is based in Thailand where he has spent his young career since 2022. Since then, he has stepped into the ring eight times, compiling a record of seven wins and one loss.
A fight of great expectation with two fighters with different styles.
