Every boxer aims to be a solid world champion ever since they begin of their career starts his career as a boxer, no doubt this was achieved by the Japanese Takashi Uchiyama who became a great Super Champion of the World Boxing Association, and announced week his boxing retirement.
Uchiyama began his career in July 2005 and started to add important victories that gave him his first title shot on January 21, 2010 against the Mexican Juan Carlos Salgado who he beat by TKO in the last round to fetch the WBA Super Featherweight title.
After getting his name written in the WBA championship belt, he managed a string of victories to become the best boxer in the 135 division. This was endorsed by the WBA in 2915 when appointed him as Super Champion after 9 successful defenses.
He made two successful defenses of his super championship to reach 11 defenses, and in 2016 he lost it against Panamanian Jezreel Corrales.
However, his solid 24-2-1, 20 KOs record, plus his 11 successful defenses in 6 years are the proof of Uchiyama great boxing career within the WBA.
