The silver medalists of the World Amateur Boxing Championships in New Delhi, Angie Valdez and Yeni Arias, arrived in Colombia on Wednesday and offered a press conference in Barranquilla, in addition to being decorated by the World Boxing Association (WBA). 

The event was attended by the leaders of Fecolbox, staff of the Colombian Olympic Committee, trainers and staff who accompanied the two fighters on their return. 

Both Valdez and Arias spoke to the press and talked about their anecdotes in the tournament organized by the IBA, while telling their stories and how was the whole process to obtain these great successes. 

The WBA and its president Gilberto Jesus Mendoza presented plaques to both of them in recognition of their great work and the excellent results they obtained in such a demanding and high quality competition as this world championship. 

The organization congratulates both fighters and is pleased that Latin American countries continue to put their flag on high in the middle of this global sport full of talent.
