The World Boxing Association (WBA) Centennial Convention, to be held from December 11 to 14 at the Caribe Royale Hotel in Orlando, will be attended by the WBA Asia team.
One of the objectives of the organization’s president, Gilberto Jesus Mendoza, has been the expansion of boxing around the world aiming to help less fortunate countries to enjoy the sport and to give their boxers good opportunities.
In the case of WBA Asia, led by Alan Kim, they have managed to reach countries such as South Korea, Japan, Philippines, Thailand or Indonesia have had the opportunity to hold regional title fights, in addition to other less common countries such as Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, among others.
It will be an interesting experience as we will be able to witness first hand the evolution of the Asian entity and its developments as they work to continue to grow and reach more and more places.
