With the aim of continuing to evolve in the noble art, the World Boxing Association was part of a solidarity event in the town of Lugano, in the province of Buenos Aires where the WBA KIDS project was presented.
The Saturday morning event, which started in Barrio 20 of Lugano and was called ‘High Impact’, had exhibitions of fighters between 6 and 13 years old who are part of the non-contact boxing programdeveloped in Argentina for several years.
The president of the pioneer organization, Gilberto Jesús Mendoza, shared an afternoon with the youngest aspirants who enthusiastically attended the instructions of the technicians specialized specifically in boxing with children.
This new program hopes to be able to attend the children between 6 and 13 years old in different parts of the world where they can develop a correct application of the technique, without impact, with the purpose of forming young athletes with a better preparation for the time to get a license in their respective local federations and start their careers as amateurs with greater solids for their futures.
Although the WBA KIDS is still in its development and attention so that every detail is as effective as possible for the learning objective, Mr. Gilberto expressed his interest in this initiative and expressed his congratulations to those who took care of this event, being one of the precursors of this Saturday’s event, the Argentinean Olympian Alberto Melian.
