On Wednesday in San Jose, Costa Rica, WBA Executive Vice President Gilberto Jesus Mendoza announced details on the July 30 WBA KO Drugs Festival which will take place at the National Gym with a capacity of 5000. The card will feature super middleweights Jaime “El Indio” Barboza (17-4, 8 KOs) against Brian Magee (34-4-1, 24 KOs) for a vacant WBA world title. In other action, local super featherweight Bryan “El Tiquito” Vasquez (26-0, 14 KOs) will fight for the vacant WBA Fedelatin title against Juan Manuel Osorio (22-2, 15 KOs) . Also, super lightweight Elvin Perez (21-4-3, 14 KOs) faces Juan Ruiz (8-0, 4 KOs).
Mendoza met with Minister of Tourism Carlos Ricardo Benavides and Minister of Sports William Todd.
