The World Boxing Association (WBA) mourns the passing of Dr. Calvin Inalsingh on Thursday, an important part of the organization and who was a director and member of the organization’s medical committee for many years.
The news of the loss of such an important man for the organization and for boxing in general has filled the institution and the boxing world with sadness. Inalsingh, from Trinidad and Tobago, joined the WBA in 1993 and began working hard for the health of boxers to make great strides in this area and contribute within the WBA.
In 2018 he was awarded by the Ringside Doctors Association for his contribution and research within sports medicine, specifically in boxing.
The World Boxing Association sends its condolences to his family and entourage, especially Shivana Inalsingh who is the current head of the women’s championship committee and has continued his father’s legacy. May you rest in peace, my friend.
