Nearly 300 boxers from 52 countries from the five continents have been rated in the month July by the World Boxing Association.
The United States, has 41 fighters, is the largest representation in the WBA ranking, followed by Mexico with 19, Venezuela, 18, the United Kingdom 13 and the Dominican Republic 12 gladiators.
Altogether, American provides the largest number of boxers to the WBA ranking with 141 fighters, 78 of them from Central and South America. Europe is next with 54 gladiators, Asia with 43, Africa with 9, and Oceania with 8.
British Leigh Wood, new world featherweight champion, and Dominican Erick Rosa, interim world minimumweight champion, were named Boxer of the Month and Honorable Mention of the month of July, respectively.
