This weekend, three World Boxing Association regional championships were at stake. In Australia, the WBA-Oceania Bantamweight and Super Bantamweight titles, while in Canada, the WBA-NABA Super Lightweight title.

Australian Andrew Maloney retained his WBA-Oceania belt at 118 pounds for the second time after beating Mexican Aramis Solis by knockout in the third round. Thus, the regional champion remains unbeaten with a record of 13 wins, 8 by knockout.

Meanwhile, Jason Maloney, also from Australia, beat Mexican Manuel Armendariz by TKO in the fifth round and retained his WBA-Oceania belt at 122 pounds for the fourth time, with a record of 13 victories, 11 of them by knockout, and no defeats nor draws.

On the other hand, Steven Wilcox defeated Mexican Oscar Arjona by unanimous decision to retain his WBA-NABA belt for the first time and leaves his record at 17 wins, 2 defeats, 1 draw and 5 knockouts.
