Saturday night at Polideportivo municipal in Termas de Río Hondo, Santiago del Estero, Argentina, WBA World female light flyweight champion Yesica “Tuti” Bopp (30-1, 12 KOs), from Wilde, Buenos Aires, Argentina, successfully defended her title by unanimous decision after 10 rounds over Anahi Torres (15-15-1, 2 KOs), from Tlalnepantla, México, Mexico.
The final scores were 99-91(Hector Gabriel Tavella), 100-90 (Marcos Machuca), and 98-92 (Silvio Alassia).
The challenger gave it her all, tried to impose her will, and had her moments. But “Tuti” controlled the action. She was focused. She was flawless. She fought as great champions throughout history have fought.
