The legendary Fernando “Feroz” Vargas will be present at the World Boxing Association (WBA) Centennial Convention to be held from December 11-14 at the Caribe Royale Hotel in Orlando, Florida.
Vargas was one of the most important fighters of a generation and had a professional career that spanned from 1997 to 2007.
The California native of Mexican descent was a two-time world super welterweight champion. First in 1998 by the IBF and later in 2001 by the WBA.
Vargas was known for his hard-hitting style and great fights. He faced Felix Trinidad, Oscar De La Hoya, Shane Mosley, Ike Quartey, among other great fighters of a great era.
The pioneer organization is proud to count on Vargas’ participation for this edition of the convention, which is very special because of the WBA’s 100th anniversary.
