Reaching new scenarios, appearing before new audiences, is a great challenge. Hyun Mi Choi (18-0-1, 4 KOs) successfully made the ninth defense of her World Boxing Association Super Featherweight title by defeating Colombian Calista Silgado (19-12-3, 14 KOs) by unanimous decision at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, in Hollywood, Florida, United States, on the same boxing card as world figure Genady Golovkin.

With her technique in tune with her strength, the “Defector Girl Boxer” won over an experienced fighter like Silgado. The ten rounds were full of action where Choi knew how to connect and get out of the danger zone quickly while the native of Tolu tried to take her to that exchange where she felt most comfortable. The champion’s boxing intelligence made a big difference.

This is how the woman who completes the pages of boxing history continues to be the World Boxing Association Super Featherweight Champion.
