Friday was held the weigh-in ceremony for the flyweight interim title fight of the World Boxing Association, between the Peruvian Linda Laura Lecca (115 lbs) who will be fighting Guadalupe Martínez (115 lbs) , on Saturday at the Cancherin sports center, Huarochiri, Peru.
“I’m very well prepared to defend the title. On Saturday there will be war. “Only over my dead body will the Mexican take the belt, it is mine and the Peru” interim champion told the press in his country.
On her part, the Mexican challenger confessed that her only objective is to win the world title. “I am strong, I am brave, I am Mexican,” and says she is ready to win it on this fifth opportunity.
The officials appointed for the fight are the Puerto Rican Melva Santos as the referee, and in charge of the scorecards are David Sing (PER), Reina Urbáez (VEN) and Héctor Tavella (ARG). The supervisor will be the Venezuelan Alberto Sarmiento.
