The World Boxing Association 122-lbs Super Bantamweight world champion Jackie Nava, and her Argentinan challenger Mayra Alejandra Gómez are waiting for the opening bell of the fight of this Saturday, February 28, at the convention center of Rosarito, Baja California, Mexico.
Both fighters weighed 122 lbs. Nava, 31-4-3, 13 KO’s, will make her sixth defense of the black and gold belt and made it clear that she would not lose against her impetuous opponent, Gómez 16-3, 4 KO’s, who is fighting for the first time fights for the WBA-WBC in the hands of the “Aztecs Princess”.
The WBC appointed the North American Rocky Burke as the referee and Marty Sammon (US) as judge. The supervisor will be Alejandro González.
