“Being a world champion is a great recognition but I need to win this fight and keep on defending my Crown to give my family a better life. When a won the title I did not come back to rest, I went back to the gym because my obstacles are big and I need to give my best,” said Palmera.
Alys Sanchez is trained by Juan Gonzalez and Liliana Palmera by Elías Pastrana Ramos who are aware this fight is crucial to both boxers’ careers. For Sanchez it means to conquer the world title again and for Palmera, to reaffirm her champion status and better opportunities for her family.
“I have prepared very well for this fight to become world champion again. I am going to the champion’s house but I am optimistic because I always fight out of my country, so my heart and my strength are with me in the ring on each fight night with my fans and Venezuela boxing lovers” said Sánchez.
