Katie Taylor (9-0, 4KO’s) will be defending her World Boxing Association (WBA) World Female Lightweight Title against Kimberley Connor (13-3-2, 5KO’s) on July 28th at the O2 Arena in London.
The fight will take place on the undercard of Dillian Whyte taking on Joseph Parker in a highly anticipated heavyweight attraction and be broadcast live on Sky Sports Box Office.
This will be Taylors third defense of her WBA world title that she won it back in October of 2017 in a unanimous decision over the experienced veteran Anahi Esther Sanchez.
Since winning the title her two defenses have been unanimous decision victories over Jessica McCaskill and Victoria Noelia Bustos, as her promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport is keeping her very busy and active.
Connor, on the other hand, has an opponent in common with Taylor in Victoria Noelia Bustos, who she lost a unanimous decision to. Connor has also fought one of the best in the world in Amanda Serrano back in 2011 where she was stopped in the second round.
