Light heavyweight contender Tommy Karpency (18-1-1 11kos) successfully defended his WBA Fedecentro Title Friday night in Morgantown, West Virginia via a ten round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Chuck Mussachio (13-1-2 5kos). Karpency, 23 years old, controlled the pace early by landing more punches and kept his opponent off balance with several harder shots. No knockdowns were recorded as Karpency prevailed comfortably on the cards, 100-90, 98-92 and 96-94. In the co-feature, former WBA#2 lightweight contender, Michael “Cold Blood” Clark (39-5-1 18kos) looked impressive as he posted a six round shutout over durable vet Dezi Ford (24-27 9kos). Clark’s handspeed and overall superior skills enabled him to land effective combinations at will throughout the bout. All three judges scored the fight 60-54.
